Richmond Deck & Fence was founded in 2015 by a team that grew up working on homes across the East Bay. We started because we kept hearing the same story from homeowners - a contractor who took a deposit and disappeared, or a deck that looked fine on day one but started shifting by year three. We wanted to be the opposite of that.
Richmond is a city with character. From the Victorian-era homes in Point Richmond to the postwar bungalows in the Iron Triangle, the housing here is older and more varied than most of the Bay Area. That older housing stock is actually what we are good at - assessing what is already there, figuring out what will hold up in Richmond's foggy coastal climate, and building something that fits the home and the neighborhood.
